FIND YOUR BEST DIRECTION
Advice for HR that shakes things up and creates a better future
In 1996, somebody told me that ‘nobody gets sacked for buying The Scotsman or The Herald’. I was a fledgling sales rep for the Guardian, standing (yes – standing) in front of the head of a Recruitment Agency in Edinburgh. From that day on, I’ve known I could offer better advice for HR professionals, playing a part in projects that were both more effective and better value. And that’s what I’ve done – for clients like COSLA/myjobscotland, saving the taxpayer around £20million a year in advertising spend.
Today, recruitment comes with a whole load of different tools, approaches, methods and media. And each one comes with its own questions. What channels offer the best candidates for the best value in your sector? How do you create talent pools? What does an employer brand actually do for you? What sort of technology infrastructure does your organisation really need? What role should (or can) social media take?
I’m ready to give you answers, backed up by years and years of senior-level experience in the recruitment sector. It all starts with clear communication. From ground-level to board-level, I’m ready to talk. No sugar coating, pussy footing or lily-gilding. Just honest advice that works.
I can help you set realistic targets, identify the appropriate channels and brief the right suppliers.
